The Orcadian Parish Cup makes a return to the county’s football pitches this weekend with five matches to be played over the course of Saturday and Sunday.

Stenness are set to host Rendall in the weekend’s first game on Saturday, set to kick-off at the Stromness Market Green at 1pm, with the away side with one foot in the quarter-finals after a 3-0 win in the first leg.

Defending champions Stromness are due to face Birsay at 3pm, also at the Market Green, with the tie delicately poised after a 1-1 draw in Dounby, while Sunday’s action starts with another North Isles derby day in Sanday at 12 noon. Making the short trip to their rivals are Stronsay who will be looking to regain some pride after an 8-0 mauling in the first leg.

Last year’s finalists Holm host Firth at The Rockworks in Sunday’s 3pm fixture, with the East Mainlanders holding a slight advantage after scoring two away goals in a 2-2 draw two weeks ago.

23-time winners Sandwick and 2014 finalists South Ronaldsay come together again at Dounby in the final match of the weekend at 7pm, with the west side favourites to progress after a 2-1 away win in the first leg.
