Police appeal after vehicle removed

Police are looking for information after a vehicle was removed from St Margaret’s Hope, on Saturday night, and found, badly damaged, a short time later.

According to police, at around 9pm on Saturday, an Isuzu D-max 4×4 was taken, without its owner’s consent, from the car park of the Bellevue Hotel in St Margaret’s Hope.

At around 9.45pm, the vehicle was found abandoned in the parking area beside the toilet block at the fourth Churchill Barrier.

Police said that the vehicle had sustained significant damage to its left-hand side bodywork, wing mirror and rear light cluster.

A spokesman added: “It has not yet been established where this damage was sustained, albeit traces of vegetation on the vehicle’s underside indicate that it had been driven off road.”

Anyone with information is requested to contact Police Scotland on 101.
