Police appeal and scam warning

Police are appealing for information after a vehicle was damaged at the Tesco car park in Kirkwall, between 11am and 11.15am, on Saturday, May 11.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kirkwall Police Station on 101 or anonymously at crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police are also warning local businesses of a scam involving the sale of advertising space in a fictitious magazine.

Two local businesses have recently been contacted by an individual claiming to be a police sergeant and offering advertising space in Police, Fire and Ambulance Magazine, a publication that does not exist.
