Remanded in custody for breaching bail

A Kirkwall man who breached his bail conditions by being drunk in a public place has been remanded in custody.

Stuart Alan Rosie, 27, Flat 2, 45 Junction Road, Kirkwall, appeared from custody at Kirkwall Sheriff Court on Friday.

Depute procurator fiscal Eddie Nicolson explained that Rosie had been bailed from the court on May 30, with the added condition that he was not under the influence of alcohol while in a public place.

Rosie admitted being under the influence of alcohol in Kirkwall’s Junction Road at 11.40pm on Thursday.

Sentence was deferred until June 22 and Rosie was remanded in custody.
