Charlie Alway has sprung no surprises as he named his Orkney FC squad for this Saturday’s away match against Golspie Sutherland.

Erik Bews is a notable absentee, however, despite the absence of the solid centre-back, the squad has a familiar look about it as the islanders attempt to maintain their positive start to the 2016/17 North Caledonian League campaign.

Currently sitting one point behind league leaders Invergordon in second place, Orkney are three points ahead of third-placed Golspie, albeit having played a match more. Both sides will be keeping a keen eye on whether second-bottom Alness United can cause an upset against Invergordon.

The match, played at Golspie’s King George V Park with kick-off at 12.30pm, will see Orkney attempt to begin to turn their fortunes around against Golspie, having secured just one win in nine attempts.

Orkney FC squad to face Golspie Sutherland: Cameron McConnachie, Owen Rendall, Joe Wilson, DJ Moffat, Chris Simpson, Kyle Drever, Graeme Horne, Steven Edwards, Chris Hellewell, Tom Flett, Jimmy Craigie, Thorfinn Stout, Steven Hellewell, Jack Paterson, Trevor McConnachie, and Jamie Flett.
