All set for Chilli Pipers concert

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers in action.

Bagpipe rockers, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers are set to rock the socks off crowds in the Pickaquoy Centre tonight.

The acclaimed band will be supported by Orkney’s very own Saltfishforty, in an event which sold out quickly after it was announced.

Those behind the anticipated gig, Scottish Folk Promotions say they are anticipating a fantastic night, and urge people to arrive early and to stay safe. The event will be predominantly standing, however some seating is available. Priority on these seats will be given to blue badge holders — for further information, contact the Pickaquoy Centre.

Known for their fusion of Scottish music and rock/pop anthems, which they call “bagrock”, the Chilli Pipers have toured worldwide.

Their return to Orkney comes as part of a mini tour of the Highlands and Islands, at the hands of Scottish Folk Promotions.
