Share your ideas on Kirkwall Townscape Heritage Initiative

The Kirkwall Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) team is inviting the public along to find out about, and exchange ideas on, the new £3.4m THI project which aims to regenerate the historic heart of Kirkwall.

Miriam Frier, Kirkwall THI’s manager, said: “We’d like to invite people along to our event on September 17, when we’ll give a brief introduction to the project and then hold a facilitated discussion on the THI’s major topic areas.”

She added: “There will be an opportunity for people to view displays which outline the main THI vision and show some of the properties and training projects which are being considered as part of the THI project, which will run from 2014 to 2019 in the conservation area of Kirkwall.”

The event, in Kirkwall’s St Magnus Centre, begins at 4pm on Tuesday, September 17.
