Spring back in Orkney RFC’s step as they prepare to take on RHC

Orkney RFC are hoping to follow-up last weekend’s victory over East Kilbride as they are due to travel down to Edinburgh to take on Royal High Corstorphine (RHC) Cougars for the first time ever in an 11am Saturday morning clash.

Last Saturday’s 27-20 bonus point victory over their Glasgow opponents was a thrilling encounter with fast, attacking rugby as the home side scored five tries and ended a run of three consecutive defeats. The islanders will travel south with renewed optimism and will be quietly confident of securing a victory.

Meanwhile RHC, who lost 17-15 to Perthshire last weekend, currently sit eighth in BT National Division 3 on 19 points, two places and five points behind Orkney.

The match is due to kick off at RHC’s home ground, Barnton.
