The county will come alive this weekend with tapping toes and stamping feet at the Orkney Ceilidh Weekend 2013.

Taking place on April 12, 13 and 14, the event, which is now in it’s seventh year, will attract dancers from all over, to take part in a series of workshops and ceilidhs.

Stalwart of the country dance scene, Jessie Stewart, is returning to lead classes, along with Owen and Catherine Harrison, Neil and Daisy Leask, and Gary Coull.

The main event itself follows on from fringe events in Rousay and Hoy. Music will be provided by Jim Anderson’s Band, The James Coutts Trio, The Kirkjuvagr Ceilidh Band, and piper Tina Wood.
