Westray man appears from custody

A Westray man appeared from custody at Kirkwall Sheriff Court this afternoon.

The case against William Thomas McCracken, 43, 13 Lastigar, Westray, has been continued without plea.

He is charged with assaulting another man at No 2 caravan, Mount Pleasant, Pierowall, on May 18.

McCracken, who is due to appear in court on Wednesday, was released on bail with the special condition that he does not contact the complainer.
