Wildflower collecting workshop in Finstown

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust is running a wildflower seed collecting workshop, in partnership with the Orkney Wildflower Group, next weekend.

The workshop is free and open to anyone with an interest in learning how to collect wild flower seeds and grow plants to help support the great yellow bumblebee.

The course takes place in the Firth Community Centre on Saturday, August 24, between 10am and 4pm, and will include a trip to nearby wild flowers sites where we will collect seed and hopefully see great yellow bumblebees.
