Woman dies following road accident

Police Scotland has confirmed that a 22-year-old woman has died following a one-vehicle road traffic collision in Orkney last week.

Her details will not be released until all next of kin are informed.

The incident happened at around 7.30am on Tuesday November 27, on the A965 at Rennibister.

She was treated at Balfour Hospital in Orkney before being transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Sadly she passed away on Sunday afternoon.
