Blues Festival comeback postponed
Plans by Orkney Blues Festival to bring a weekend of live music to Stromness, this November, have been postponed.
The Blues Festival committee confirmed the decision, taken due to Orkney’s current situation with COVID-19, this Wednesday evening.
In a statement, the committee said: “After careful discussion and guidance, the Orkney Blues Festival committee has decided to postpone next week’s event (November 19 and 20) in light of the current COVID-19 situation within the county.
“The health and safety of our community and festival attendees is our top priority and we feel it would be unwise to go ahead at the present time.
“We aim to share a revised date with you very soon and all purchased tickets will be refunded. Please message the OBF Facebook if you have any queries.
“As ever we thank you for your continued support of the festival and live music in Orkney.
“Stay safe and we will see you all very soon.”
