Breeding Bulls on show

The Orkney Bull Breeders Association show and sale of breeding bulls took place at Orkney Auction Mart this morning.

A winner and reserve was selected for each breed by judge Stewart Leslie, of Quoymorhouse, Shapinsay. The show began at 10.45am with the sale set to commence at 1pm.

The winner of the Shorthorn section was the February 2014-born bull Lagas Hercules, which shown by Laga Farms Ltd, Arwick, Evie.

The winner of the Limousin section was April 2014-born Hewan Jura, shown by R. & J. Johnston, Hewan Shapinsay.

Skaill Danny, shown by Messrs Davidson, Skaill, Sandwick, took the top spot in the Aberdeen Angus class and Baillieston Jock, shown by W. R. Baillie & Co., Biggings, Toab, took first prize in the Charolais section.
