Hatston Pier car park closure at south end of terminal

Work at Hatston Pier will require the closure of the car parking area at the south end of the Serco NorthLink Terminal from 6pm today (Monday October 7).

There will also be no pedestrian access to this part of the pier, which lies beneath the ferry walkway used by foot passengers.

The parking area will be out of action until a date to be fixed in mid-December 2013.

Additional parking will be available to the west of the roundabout on the approach to Hatston Pier.

The main parking area to the rear of the vehicle check-in building will not be affected – nor will pedestrian access to the ferry terminal building.

Orkney’s Harbour Authority apologises for any inconvenience that may be caused during the progress of this necessary work, which includes the fitting of wave screens to the pier.
