Local group take over the production of 2013 tourist brochure

The Orkney Tourism Group (OTG) is to take over the production of the islands’ main tourism guide for the first time, next year.

In partnership with VisitScotland, the group will create the comprehensive 2013 publication: Where to Stay and What to See and Do.

Malcolm Macrae, chairman of the Orkney Tourism Group, said: “This is a hugely positive step in partnership working. We are absolutely delighted to be producing next year’s guide and we would like to thank VisitScotland for agreeing to be an integral part of the project team going forward. Our ambition is to increase Orkney’s marketing budget through increased business participation and we would like to encourage all businesses to support the new-look Orkney guide.”
