New ‘Hope fire station officially open

The new fire station in St Margaret’s Hope was officially opened today, Wednesday, by the convener of the Highlands and Island Fire Board, and Orkney Islands councillor, Andrew Drever.

Also attending the event was chief fire officer Stewart Edgar, fire board vice-convener Audrey Sinclair and assistant chief fire officer Billy Wilson.

The opening of St Margarets Hope station marks the last new build provided by the Highlands and Islands Fire Board.
