Orkney beat Shetland to Pentland Cup glory

Orkney’s ‘A’ badminton side beat their Shetland opponents today, winning 8-4 to lift the Pentland Cup.

Continuing their fine recent form against Shetland, it was a nail-biting contest with most of the games going to three sets.

The victory comes just weeks after Orkney ‘A’ beat Caithness, completing an inter-county double for the county’s badminton players.
