Orkney FC edge out Thurso

Orkney FC claimed an important 1-0 win over Thurso, on Kirkwall Grammar School’s 3G surface, earlier today.

The first half finished goalless before Frenchman Axel Bondoux, came off the substitute’s bench, to combine with Mark Berry, who scored the goal which eventually separated the two sides.

Bondoux was later named man of the match, in what was a memorable debut for the 23-year-old.

The win means that Orkney remain at the top of the North Caledonian Football League, after claiming seven points out of a possible nine so far.
