Orkney semi-finalist in Young Traditional Musician Award
A young musician from Orkney has been named a semi-finalist in this year’s BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician 2016 Award.
Jessica Burton, who plays the clarsach, is one of 12 semi-finalists, all of whom will attend an event in South Lanarkshire in October.
Following this, six musicians are chosen to go through to finals at the Celtic Connections festival in January 2016.
