Back on the Creative Place award shortlist
For the second year in a row, Orkney has been shortlisted for a Creative Place award.
The Creative Place awards, run by Creative Scotland, celebrate and recognise the hard work and imagination that contributes to the rich cultural life of Scotland’s smaller communities, as well as their social and economic well-being.. The winner of the award will receive £150,000 funding towards creative events in the community.
Orkney lost out to Kilmarnock last year in the ‘Under 100,000 Residents’ category. This year they compete alongside Falkirk and Dumfries.
The winners will be announced in January.
