Bad Company guitarist plays Kirkwall gig
Rock music fans in Orkney are in for a treat tomorrow night when prolific guitarist and songwriter Dave ‘Bucket’ Colwell will play a gig in Kirkwall.
The former Bad Company guitarist will perform in Matchmakers tomorrow, March 9, along with Roadway, on their maiden tour together.
Speaking before the gig Dave said: “It will be a full-on rock show, featuring songs from my 2010 solo album Guitars, Beers and Tears, which has some very special guest singers, and of course many of the greatest hits from my past with Bad Company.”
Described as one of the most talented and accomplished guitarists in the country, Dave served with Bad Company for over 11 years, recording and touring with all three vocalists who worked with the band.
In 2002, he was part of the line-up which recorded the US Gold certified live CD/DVD Merchants Of Cool.
He released his first solo album under the name Bucket and Co in 2010 which featured guest performances from members of Iron Maiden, Thunder and The Quireboys.
Tickets are available from Sinclair Office Supplies.
