Dounby Butcher in the running for ‘rural Oscar’ award

The Dounby Butcher is one of the four Scottish finalists in the butcher section of the 2013 Countryside Alliance Awards.

The awards, dubbed the Rural Oscars, celebrate Scotland’s rural businesses and communities.

The finalists in each category will be invited to the final at the Scottish Parliament in March 2014 and each category winner will go on to represent Scotland at the British finals at Westminster in April.
