Information wanted after car stolen

Police are appealing for information following the theft of a car on Sunday.

A green Vauxhall Astra 5 door hatchback, registration number SN02 WEO, was taken from an address in Laverock Road, Kirkwall some time between 3.45am and 1.30pm on Sunday.

The police say several other unsecured vehicles in Kirkwall were also entered on Sunday morning – prompting a reminder about the importance of securing unattended vehicles.
