Orkney FC hoping for back-to-back wins

Orkney FC are hoping to make it two wins on the bounce as they welcome Invergordon to Dounby in the North Caledonian League. Orkney FC put an opening defeat against Golspie Sutherland in September behind them as they stunned Alness United with first-half four goal haul last weekend, eventually emerging 5-3 winners. The home side were 3-0 up after twenty-five minutes, and went in at the break 4-1 ahead, courtesy of two goals apiece from Daniel Hourston and Stevie Cunningham. Despite Alness grabbing two goals to make it a nervous finish, Orkney sealed the victory late on through substitute, Chris Simpson.

Invergordon, playing in their first league campaign since the 2012/13 season, will be hoping to put last weekends 3-2 defeat to Halkirk United behind them and add to the point they picked up against Thurso. At this early stage, they are sitting second bottom on one point after two games while Orkney are third.

Kick-off is scheduled for 12:30pm in Dounby.
