Stout double secures crucial victory at The Dammies

A double from Thorfinn Stout kept Orkney FC’s title aspirations alive in a 2-0 win against Thurso.

Regarded as a must win if Orkney are to land their first North Caledonian League crown, it was Stout once again who got the crucial goals, taking his tally to 18 in an increasingly prolific season for the forward.

Orkney still have to hope other results go their way if they are to win the title, however, this win, played on a difficult surface at The Dammies, is nonetheless vital.

Orkney’s next match is another crucial fixture away to fellow title challengers Golspie Sutherland on Saturday, March 24.
