Stromness road closure

Stromness’s John Street – from the Ferry Inn to the Town House – will be closed between October 14 and 18 to allow the contractor working on the new building at the old Dive Cellar site (Nos 2-6 Victoria St) to take delivery of and erect steelwork.

The work is part of the OIC’s pierhead regeneration project.

According to the council, access to the businesses along John Street will be maintained throughout the duration of the road closure, and the doctor’s surgery and businesses in the affected area will also be open as usual.
