Time to pick up dip forms

With the festive season upon us next month, registration forms for the sixth CLIC Sargent Boxing Day Dip at Scapa are now available.

They can be picked up from Bruces Stores and Nimms in Kirkwall and Raes Newsagents in Stromness.

This years event will take place on Thursday, December 26 at Scapa Beach and ‘splash down’ is at 12 noon.

Organiser Kenny Thomson said: “Sponsored by Highland Park Distillery, the event also could not take place without regular assistance from Willie Watters and The Sea Cadets, The Rotary Club, Emergency Care Group, Orkney Aggregates, Ken Ross, Ian Farquhar and a host of others.”

Those intending to brave the waters of Scapa Flow are encouraged to pick up registration forms as soon as possible.
